  27. I have very recently acquired the Sparks software and am also working 
  28. through the tutorials. The way I understand the manual (YES, it could be 
  29. written a little better!)is that you need a source for your particles (i.e., 
  30. your particles for the Sparks program have to come from somewhere. An 
  31. object, any object with points, will do. So, you load a particle cloud (or 
  32. any other object) into Modeler and run the getpoints.lwm . This is where 
  33. your particles are obtained from. For instance, if you load a particle cloud 
  34. with 100 points in it and run the getpoints.lwm, Sparks will have 100 
  35. particles to work with. If you load a cube and run getpoints.lwm, Sparks 
  36. will have 8 particles to work with, etc.. If I remember correctly, you also 
  37. have to export your particle source (cloud, cube or whatever) to Layout 
  38. after you run the getpoints.lwm. Why? I have no idea.

  41. of me). I hope this helps. If I'm wrong in my reasoning, somebody please 
  42. enlighten me.
